I'm leaving this place four stars even though they were only serving pizza for food. Why? two reasons: 1) Wayne my bartender and 2) Wayne turning the channels to let me watch women's college basketball namely USC and Stanford even though he made fun of me for it which was hilarious -- all in good fun, cuz this dude is cool as shit. You heard me women's college basketball whatever finest college ball there is - no fouls plenty of flow you know what I'm saying. anyhow place is kick ass - even the kitchen is closed down they r still serving pizzas goddamn and the clientele conversation is second to none I can't wait until the kitchen is back up and running full speed. Exactly what I was looking for to watch some sports and drink some beer on lazy Sunday afternoon on my vaca when everything else is shut down and not playing sports. Even bought a sweet long sleeve rookies shirt with a sweet charon dude skiing on the back and checkerboards down sleeves...got compliments just for buying it from the locals. Don't mind the crime scene yellow tape; it's just for the roof-icicles. you'll have fun like I did.

Great food. Service was awesome. Really liked this place. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Incline

Been here several times over the years usually when a game is on. Lots of tv's, regular bar food, okay prices. Not a life changing culinary experience but it's what you expect when you want to grab a beer, bite and the game.

Food was good had the tri tip quesadilla! Servicie was great and people were friendly! They have a pool table and air hockey! Plus all of the sports on tv ! Its a cool spot I appreciate around town !

Went back to Rookies for the first time in a long time and had a great time. Met my husband there 28 years ago, and let our server know. She ended up telling the owner who said we were the couple with the longest marriage that she had met there. It hasn't changed much, but offered great appetizers and beer. The service was excellent and a great place to watch a sports game or hang out with friends. They have some nice outdoor seating as well. Can't wait to go back and check out the rest of their menu.

Rookies has been a staple of Incline Village - we were visiting Incline in the middle of this week and due to staffing shortages, found a lot places closed or with reduced hours. While Rockies was closed on Tuesday, we hit the spot for lunch on Wednesday and are we glad we did. Even with an understaffed team, our service was excellent - the staff was working hard to bring great service. Now let's talk about the food. Their burgers are just outstanding - perfect medium rare. My wife had the Iditarod, I had the The Great One. The seasoning, sauteed mushrooms, and added bacon & avocado on the Iditarod were fantastic. The Great One as a fantastic honey mustard sauce - nice change of pace. We both had garlic fries - ours were top 5. Still crispy with just the right amount of garlic - not sure how they do it...garlic fries often get mushy when put together - not these. We ordered some boneless wings to go for dinner - can't wait!!! I think with staff shortages, there will be speed bumps on occasion but I've never seen a staff work so hard while so underpowered. We had a fantastic meal.
